Summer Theatre
 Lees-McRae
College's Summer Theatre program and events have
a long standing history in the High Country, featuring
a wide variety programs and
shows. For over 25 years, the college's renowned performing arts department has been bringing the best in theatre to the little village of Banner Elk, and this year is gearing up to be no different. With
show times and a schedule running from June through August, there is a show or event that everyone will love. Tickets typically go on sale in March, however most events remain open until the night of the show. Shows are featured on two
separate stage arenas, each with their own schedule.
The main stage of the Lees-McRae Summer Theatre program has featured A Chorus Line,
Little Shop of Horrors, and Oklahoma as part of their Hummingbird
Theatre Events. Smaller events are featured on the 2nd stage in the Historic Pinnacle Room. Shows that have played on this stage include
Don't Hug Me, Southern Voices, and
You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.
