Sugar Mountain Golf Course is perched atop Sugar Mountain, and at an elevation of 4,000 feet, the course offers a challenging round of golf to players, as well as the beautiful landscape and surrounding mountains. Mountain Glen, located in Newland, is a short drive from Sugar Mountain and offers golf enthusiasts a regulation 18-hole course in the High Country. Mountain Glen is a public course, established in 1963. The course features beautiful greens across the vast 6,723 yards and offers a par 72 for golfers of all abilities.

If you are looking for a change of scenery in the High Country you may also check out Boone Golf Club located in Watauga Valley, just outside of Boone toward Blowing Rock North Carolina. Boone Golf Club is a public resort that features 6,680 yards of gently rolling fairways and beautiful greens among the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains.
